This item combines two types of leather that complement each other in texture and appearance:

Front: vegetable-tanned embossed cowhide
Back: vegetable-tanned buffalo leather

The embossed cowhide gains its distinctive structure through embossing and/or foiling. Under heat and high pressure, the natural grain of the leather is compacted, resulting in a multi-stage finish with a characteristic texture and a subtle, partly metallic sheen.

The vegetable-tanned buffalo leather on the reverse side is coated with a protective layer of colour pigments that provides light protection against external influences such as moisture, fading, and sunlight. Over time and with use, it becomes softer and develops a natural patina while retaining its authentic texture and feel.

We use only high-quality leathers. Nevertheless, both embossed and pigmented leather surfaces are sensitive to friction, moisture, and frequent use. Over time, the surface may change slightly, the gloss or embossing may soften – a natural process that gives each bag its individual character. As leather is a natural material, subtle variations in colour and texture are inherent and part of its appeal.

To best protect your INA KENT bag, we recommend the following:

  • Before first use, apply a small amount of a specialised leather care product suitable for vegetable-tanned, embossed, and pigmented leathers. Repeat occasionally to maintain protection.
  • Clean gently with a soft microfiber cloth – avoid vigorous rubbing or abrasion, as this may damage the embossed surface or remove the pigment coating.
  • Avoid contact with water, excessive sunlight, or heat – these factors may alter the finish or cause fading.
  • Keep away from rough or abrasive surfaces: even minor scuffs may be visible on embossed or pigmented leather.
  • Do not use conventional care products not specifically formulated for vegetable-tanned or pigmented leather; oils, waxes, or solvent-based sprays may damage the finish.
  • Avoid contact with materials that may transfer colour pigments – this can be particularly noticeable on lighter surfaces.
  • Avoid contact with light or delicate materials – slight colour transfer may occur when exposed to warmth, moisture, or friction.
  • For cleaning or visible signs of wear, we recommend consulting a professional leather care specialist.
