ORNAMENT ed.5
suede gingery cognac
Gingery brown suede shoulder bag

EUR 255
new

ORNAMENT is the kind of shoulder bag that doesn’t need much explanation. It sits close to the body, feels light, and does exactly what good things do: it works. In the Lace version, with slender ties and delicate knot details, ORNAMENT ed.5 reveals a softer side in soft reddish-brown suede – bringing a generous dose of boho chic (the good kind) and an effortless sense of ease to everyday life.

Unlined and intentionally lightweight, ORNAMENT ed.5 works as an underarm bag, crossbody, or worn casually over the shoulder. Soft brown suede, slender ties, and a silhouette somewhere between a hobo bag and a particularly good idea. Made for just about every scenario the day might bring: early mornings, office hours, and later, perhaps, a bar or two. Rumour has it a bottle of vino fits inside. Certainly everything that truly matters does.

Interior: Unlined, with a zip closure.

Ways to wear: Can be worn short under the shoulder, mid-length over the shoulder, or crossbody thanks to the adjustable strap and opening carabiners. Without the strap, the bag can be closed using the carabiner to create its soft croissant shape – reduced, flexible, and surprisingly versatile.

Combinations: Pairs well with smaller INA KENT models and accessories. Particularly suited for X.LOMI ed.2X.LIO ed.1X.ONI ed.2BAG CHARM ed.1–ed.4, and the signature key chain BALL’N’CHAIN ed.1. Alternatively, it can also be combined with our leather straps STRAP TAO ed.1STRAP NOX ed.1, BALLCHAIN SLING ed.1 or the PROTECTOR KIT ed.1.

Strap: Made from skin-friendly, vegetable-tanned leather with finished edges. Detachable and adjustable in length. Maximum length: 110 cm.

As our straps are unique pieces, the length may vary by 1–2 cm. Since leather is a natural material, the strap may soften and slightly stretch over time with wear.

Hardware: The carabiner rings are custom-made for INA KENT. Easy to open and close, they allow for different carrying options with just a few simple moves.

Weight: 0,35 kg

This item is made from high-quality suede leather, defined by its soft, open surface and characteristic nap.

Surface: Finely sanded suede leather with a velvety touch and a lively, matte appearance. Its open structure makes the material breathable, yet more sensitive to moisture, dirt, and friction. Subtle variations in colour, pressure marks, or changes in the nap are natural characteristics that underline the individuality of the leather.

We use only high-quality leather. Still, suede reacts sensitively to external influences. Over time, the surface may evolve, the nap may smooth out or become slightly compacted – a natural process that gives each piece its own character.

As suede leather is untreated, slight colour transfer may occur initially – especially with darker tones and in contact with moisture or friction. This typically decreases over time. Any residue can usually be removed.

This model features fringes made from suede leather. The edges and reverse side are intentionally left untreated so that the material remains soft and retains its natural movement. Minor abrasion or changes to the fringes are material-related and reflect the open construction of the leather.

To help protect your INA KENT bag, we recommend:

  • Before first use, apply a protector specifically developed for suede, such as the Suede Protector by Furniture Clinic. It protects against moisture and stains. Always test on an inconspicuous area first. Reapply regularly – approximately every three months.
  • Before each further application, ensure the leather is clean, dry, and free from dust and lint. Gently brush the nap beforehand to lift it and remove surface particles – this helps prevent dirt from being fixed into the material.
  • Regular brushing with a soft suede brush keeps the surface clean and maintains its texture.
  • For light soiling (e.g. dust or dry dirt), use a suitable suede cleaner and/or a nubuck eraser.
  • Avoid contact with water – it may cause stains or so-called “water marks.”
  • Heat and direct sunlight can dry out or fade the leather.
  • Minimize friction and contact with rough surfaces, as these can alter the nap.
  • Light pressure or shine marks are material-typical and part of the natural patina.
  • Do not use conventional leather care products (oils or waxes). Avoid contact with colour-transfer materials.
  • Storage: keep in a dry, well-ventilated place, ideally in a dust bag (not airtight). For longer storage, loosely fill the bag with silk paper or tissue paper.
  • Material-specific: suede changes its appearance depending on light and direction of the nap – this is intentional and part of its living surface.
